Comparison Between Anti-Slip Construction Formwork and Ordinary Formwork: A Comprehensive Analysis
Anti-slip construction formwork is a type of construction formwork with special anti-slip textures on the surface, which can effectively improve friction. It is mainly used in scenarios such as concrete pouring, scaffolding platforms, and construction passages to solve the potential safety hazard of slipping in wet and oil-stained environments.

I. Core Features
Anti-slip texture: Common concave-convex patterns such as hexagon, grid, and rhombus are on the surface, which greatly increase the friction coefficient.
Material and craftsmanship
Base material: Mostly multi-layer plywood such aspoplar, eucalyptus, and birch, or plastic and aluminum alloy.
Surface layer: Black phenolic resin film / PP film is hot-pressed, which is waterproof, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
Performance: Waterproof (no glue opening after boiling in water for 48 hours), high strength, and reusable.
Specifications: Commonly used 1220×2440mm, thickness 9–21mm (mainstream 12–18mm).
II. Main Types
Anti-slip film-coated wooden formwork (mainstream)
Single-sided / double-sided anti-slip film coating, phenolic glue, high strength and more turnover times.
Mainly used for concrete pouring, scaffolding pedals, and temporary platforms.
Plastic anti-slip formwork
PP/PVC hollow or solid, lightweight, waterproof, acid and alkali resistant, but low rigidity.
Suitable for wet environments and simple projects.
Metal anti-slip formwork
Steel / aluminum alloy with stamped anti-slip patterns, super durable and fireproof, but heavy and easy to rust.
Used for heavy-duty support and high-load platforms.

III. Typical Applications
Concrete construction: Stairs, ramps, beam bottom slabs, preventing workers from slipping and formwork displacement.
Scaffolding and operating platforms: Pedals, walkway slabs, safe even on rainy days / oil-stained surfaces.
Temporary roads / bridge decks: Construction site temporary passages, bridge construction platforms.
Vehicles / ships: Truck bottom slabs, cabin decks, container floors.
IV. Advantages
Safety: Significantly reduce slipping accidents.
Durability: The film is wear-resistant, waterproof and anti-aging, with more turnover times than ordinary formwork.
Efficiency: Smooth demoulding, flat concrete surface, reducing repairs.
Economy: Long service life, low maintenance, lower comprehensive cost.
