Okoume plywood

Okuman plywood is a multi-layer board made from Okuman wood, widely used in furniture manufacturing, interior decoration and other fields.

Feature

Beautiful appearance: The surface of Okuman plywood has a unique powder brown to flesh color, with gray white edges, uniform color, small color difference, usually straight or slightly staggered texture, medium to delicate texture, and good natural glossiness.

Lightweight: The air dry density of Okuman wood is about 0.48g/cm ³, making the plywood lightweight and easy to handle and construct.

Good processing performance: This plywood is easy to process. Although the wood contains silica and the cutting tools are prone to dullness, the veneer has good planing and rotary cutting performance, good adhesive properties, and easy nailing.

Good drying performance: Oguman plywood has a fast drying speed and is not prone to defects such as cracking and deformation, with good dimensional stability.

Low strength: Oguman is a lightweight cork with moderate strength and low Jenca hardness. It is not wear-resistant and is not suitable for load-bearing structures or floors that require high strength.

Application field

Furniture manufacturing: It can be used to make cabinets, wardrobes, tables and chairs, and other furniture. Its beautiful appearance and good processing performance can meet the design and production requirements of furniture.

Interior decoration: commonly used for interior wall panels, ceilings, decorative shapes, etc. It can be directly used as a decorative surface or further treated with coatings, veneers, etc.

Shipbuilding: Due to its light weight and moderate strength, it is a commonly used material for building small ships such as rowing boats.

Packaging industry: can be used to make packaging boxes, pallets, etc., which can protect items from damage during transportation.
