Basswood plywood is a multi-layer laminated board made by interlocking the core layer and surface layer of oak veneer, applying glue and hot pressing. Basswood belongs to the family Tiliaceae and is a deciduous tree. Its main production areas include Northeast China, Eastern Europe, and North America. Its material is soft and tough, with delicate texture, making it a high-quality raw material for making high-end plywood.

Advantage

The material is soft and tough, with excellent processing performance

Basswood fibers are slender and have a uniform structure. The plywood made from them is easy to saw, plane, and drill, and there will be no splitting phenomenon; The nail holding force is moderate, and it is not easy to damage the board during later disassembly, making it suitable for complex shape processing.

Beautiful texture and strong decorative value

The surface texture is straight or light wavy, without obvious knots, and the color is milky white or light yellow brown, with minimal color difference; It can be directly dyed, painted, or coated with thin wood veneer, and the finished product has a texture similar to solid wood.

Excellent stability, not easily deformed

The staggered structure of plywood offsets the anisotropy of wood, and coupled with the low shrinkage and swelling rate of oak wood itself, the risk of warping and cracking of the board is much lower than that of ordinary plywood in environments with large temperature and humidity changes.

Environmentally friendly

Basswood veneer has a low adhesive content and can use formaldehyde free MDI adhesive during the bonding process. The finished product's formaldehyde release can reach E0 level or even formaldehyde free level, making it suitable for indoor use in sensitive environments.

Good acoustic performance

The material is loose and porous, with certain sound absorption and insulation effects, and can transmit mild sound wave vibrations.

Application scenarios

High end furniture manufacturing

Used for making side panels, back panels, drawer bottoms of solid wood frame furniture, as well as children's furniture, piano shells, and high-end instrument accessories (such as violin cases), to enhance product quality with their delicate texture.

Interior Decoration and Crafts

As an indoor decorative panel, ceiling decorative panel, and background wall substrate; It can be carved into decorative paintings, wooden crafts, photo frames, jewelry boxes, etc. After processing, the surface is smooth and free of burrs.

Mold and Model Making

Due to its good stability and easy processing, it is widely used in the production of precision casting molds, automotive interior parts molds, building sand table models, and aircraft model body panels.

Musical Instruments and Acoustic Equipment

Used for making guitar backboards, drum chambers, and speaker liners, utilizing their excellent acoustic performance to deliver pure sound.

Packaging and cultural and creative products

Produce high-end gift boxes, red wine packaging boxes, and cultural and creative account baseboards to replace hard cardboard and enhance packaging quality.
