MDF is an artificial board made mainly from wood fibers or other plant fibers, processed through fiber separation, gluing, paving, hot pressing and other processes. Its density is usually between 0.65-0.85g/c.

Performance Characteristics

Smooth and flat surface: The MDF surface is fine and uniform, without wood grain or knots, and can be directly treated with finishing such as painting and veneering, achieving a good decorative effect.

High dimensional accuracy: Strict control of sheet size during the production process ensures good dimensional stability and is less prone to shrinkage, cracking, and other issues.

Easy to process: The material is uniform, stable, and easy to perform cutting, punching, carving, and planing operations, suitable for making various shapes of furniture and decorations.

Good environmental performance: With the increasing demand for environmental protection, MDF production often uses environmentally friendly adhesives, and some products can reach E0 or even ENF environmental standards.

Strength and load-bearing capacity are generally average: MDF has strength and load-bearing capacity between particleboard and multi-layer board, not as good as OSB board, but its internal structure is uniform and its overall performance is relatively stable.

Application fields:

Widely used in furniture manufacturing, such as bed frames, wardrobes, cabinets, etc; In the field of architectural decoration, it can be used for wall panels, ceilings, floors, etc; In indoor decoration, it is commonly used to make partition walls, cabinets, ceilings, etc; It can also be used in the field of commercial display, making display cabinets, display stands, etc.
